Yarn: 1 skein Tanis Fiber Arts Blue Label Fingering Weight yarn (80% superwash merino, 20% nylon, 115g = 420yds) in Patina (Year In Colour Club 2013.)
Needles: Set of 4, 2.25mm (US 1) dpns or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 8 stitches = 1” in stockinette stitch.
Size: woman’s medium
Finished Measurements:
Cuff Circumference: approx 12” stretched.
Foot Circumference: approx 7 unstretched.
Leg Length: approx 7.5" from cuff to heel.

Designing with a colourful and dynamic colourway like this month’s Patina brings with it a particular set of challenges. My aim is always to highlight the tones in the yarn without distracting from the motifs in my design. I needed just the right balance of texture and lace. A crisp, graphic motif, fun to knit with stunning results!
