TFA's Year in Colour Club 2013

This year will mark the third installment of the TFA Year In Colour Club; a custom colourway, single skein yarn club for 2013!

Every other month (January, March, May, July, September and November) members only will receive a custom-dyed skein of yarn with an exclusive pattern designed by either yours truly (Tanis Lavallée) or my partner in crime, Julie Crawford.

This year I have decided to switch things up a bit and offer a wide variety of yarn weights and fiber contents. Throughout the year I will be featuring:

Blue Label Fingering Weight yarn, Yellow Label DK Weight yarn, Orange Label Cashmere/Silk Worsted weight yarn, Pink Label Lace Weight yarn, Red Label Cashmere/Silk Single ply yarn and a real treat, Silver Label Mulberry Silk yarn. All of the details about each of the yarns can be found on our yarns page.

The patterns will all be one skein wonders, designed specifically for the custom colourway it accompanies. Expect to receive patterns for anything from shawls, cowls, hats, mitts and beyond! Julie and I are taking a lot of care when designing our patterns to ensure that no two months are alike. Variety is the spice of life!

Another difference from past years is that I will not be including printed paper copies of the patterns with the Club shipments, instead I'll be sending each member their Club patterns via e-mail through Ravelry. You do not need to be a Ravelry member to receive your pattern, but you do need to ensure that the e-mail address you sign up for the Club with is one that you will check! Club patterns will be delivered electronically about a week or so after all the Club yarns have been mailed to ensure that you have your yarn in hand before the pattern arrives (wouldn't want to spoil the surprise for anyone!)

Club shipments will be mailed out towards the middle of the month (ex: shipment for January will go out mid January). The club colourways and patterns will not be available anywhere else for the duration of the Club calendar year.

Club memberships will be available all year long. New members who join throughout the year will recieve all past shipments with their first package. Be sure to join by the 10th of the month to ensure that you'll get your shipment asap! For example, sign up on March 9th and you'll receive your January and March Club yarns together in March, sign up on March 11th and you'll have missed the deadline for the March shipment and will be mailed your January and March Club skeins along with the next batch of shipments in May.
