New In Shop - Mini Sock Yarn Skeins!

lot1.1.jpg

Last week I ended my blog post announcing my new (free!) Love You Forever heart pattern by asking if there was any interest in mini skein kits, which I realize is a very silly question to ask because of course the answer is a loud and resounding YES! I have been looking for an excuse to offer mini sock yarn skeins in the shop for ages. I was always kind of stumped trying to determine exactly how much yardage and how many colours I should offer in one kit, what should the price point be etc. Without a specific project in mind those were tough decisions to make. The little hearts proved to be just the kick in the pants I needed to get the ball rolling with these awesome new kits!

Each mini skein kit includes approximately 9g = 35yds of fingering weight yarn in 12 TFA colourways for a total of 420yds of yarn (the same as one skein of sock yarn). You will receive 6 mini skeins of Blue Label Fingering Weight Yarn (80/20 merino/nylon) and 6 mini skeins of Cosmic Blue Label Fingering Weight Yarn (84/16 merino/sparkling nylon).

Use your rainbow of mini skeins for any project you can dream up! Ornaments, toys, amazing striped socks, sweater yokes, friendship bracelets, mitts and hats... the sky is the limit!

These kits are organized slightly differently from my other products. Instead of being dyed to order, the Mini Sock Yarn Skeins kits are available in limited quantities. Once this batch is sold out I'll be making up another round in potentially different colourways depending on what I have available and in stock. The Mini Sock Yarn Skeins kit page will be updated with photos and details of the currently available lot's colourways. So, basically the difference is just that my other kits include set colourways whereas in the Mini Sock Yarn Skeins kit the colourways will be switched up with each new batch that I make. They will always represent a large range of colourways, a full rainbow spectrum (and maybe in the future I'll do more tonal kits like "neutrals" or "warm" and "cool" but for right now I'm focussing on "rainbow" and let me just add that "focussing on rainbows" is a pretty awesome way to spend your work day!) If the kits appear to be sold out, rest assured I am working on winding up a new set to list asap.

I can't wait to see what you all knit up with these fun bundles!
